JANUARY - MARCH - 11 Week League Starting January 7th

> WEDNESDAYS - Youth U16/U19 Co-Ed League
> FRIDAYS - Youth League U14/U16
> SATURDAYS - Youth Rec U7Co-Ed/U8/U10/U12/U14
> SUNDAYS - Youth Travel U8/U9/U10/U11/U12/U13/U14

Youth teams are assigned to leagues based on their age and desired level of competition. Youth Leagues are divided by age into two skill levels: Recreational and Travel. Recreational leagues are formed for teams that are looking for an exciting and competitive indoor soccer experience that is recreational in nature. Travel leagues are formed whenever possible for teams that play at premier or select levels

Sportsplex follows Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA) guidelines for defining a player's age. For example, a player who is U-12  (under 12) for the outdoor Fall 2007 season is still considered U-12 for the 2007-2008 indoor seasons (August 2007 throught July 2008).

 
Classes & Clinics
Lil Kickers Bunnies (18 - 24 Months)
  • Parent & Child Classes - Bunnies classes are a fun introduction to the Lil' Kickers program. Toddlers and parents explore basic soccer and movement skills together. Classes include parachute activities, bubbles, lots of goal scoring, and the famous cone towers!  SIGN UP ONLINE 
Lil Kickers Thumpers (25-30 Months)
  • Parent & Child Classes - Parents and kids, led by one of our instructors, play organized games together to develop listening skills, balance, ball skills and foot-eye coordination. Thumpers is the ideal next step for Bunnies veterans who are not yet old enough for the Hoppers level, and a perfect introduction to Lil' Kickers for new players.  SIGN UP ONLINE
Lil Kickers Cottontails (2.5-3.5 Years)
  • Parent & Child Classes - Cottontails is a class designed for children who are ready for more of a challenge than a Thumpers class, but who are not quite ready to be on the field without a parent or caregiver. The Cottontails curriculum is designed to build fundamental skills such as balance, coordination, and ball skills. Cottontails classes also offer another component-helping your child build a sense of independence. As children progress through the session and become ready for more independence, parents can choose to transition to a less active role in the class, helping prepare the child to transition to the next level.  SIGN UP ONLINE
Lil Kickers Hoppers (3 & 4 Years) - Beginning
  • Three and four year-olds get a fast-paced, fun exposure to the most popular sport in the world. Classes focus on foot-eye coordination, dribbling, scoring and balance. Hoppers classes will also introduce the concepts of teamwork and cooperation. Hoppers will not play any competitive soccer games.

Lil Kickers Jackrabbits (3-4 Years) - Intermediate
  • Jackrabbits is a class designed for three and four year-olds who have either taken a session of Hoppers or have other soccer experience. Jackrabbits classes will focus on more complex ball skills (trapping and passing). Some small-sided, non-competitive soccer games will be introduced. SIGN UP ONLINE
Lil Kickers Big Feet (5-6 years) - Beginning
  • Big Feet classes are for five and six year-olds who have not played soccer before. These classes concentrate on giving beginning kids a set of basic soccer skills (dribbling, passing, trapping, scoring) and some confidence on the field. Kids will be introduced to the ideas of sportsmanship and team play. Kids will play some small-sided, non-competitive soccer games to help prepare them for Micro Classes.  SIGN UP ONLINE
Lil Kickers Micro 4/5, Micro 6/7, Micro 8/9 
  • Micro Classes are developmental and non-competitive for intermediate kids ages 4-9 years designed to enhance individual and team skills, with an emphasis on fun and safety. Micro Classes are for kids who have played soccer before either in Lil' Kickers or another program. SIGN UP ONLINE
Lil Kickers Micro 6/9 Advanced Class
  • Micro Advanced Classes introduce more complex soccer tactics and skills. The smaller student to teacher ratio allows for an increased level of individual instruction. Children are taught new team concepts and individual skills, and are challenged to apply them in the scrimmage at the end of each class. The Micro Advanced Class is the highest level of the Lil' Kickers program and is very popular for kids who love soccer.  SIGN UP ONLINE
